Interest in a healthcare career
Proxima is looking for people that are passionate about helping others and moving into the healthcare field. Below are some resources to help you get an idea of what a day in our supported programs looks like.
Must have active U.S. work authorization that covers the time when your training will be complete
Proxima requires scholars to have proof of work authorization prior to entering the program. If it is a temporary authorization, you must show proof of renewal of work authorization.
For U.S. Citizens:
-
Valid passport
-
Valid photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, school ID)
-
SSN or birth certificate
For Non-U.S. Citizens:
Must have an active U.S. work authorization that covers the entire period until your training is complete.

Ready to work with employer partners immediately upon training completion with Proxima’s support
Upon completion of your training program, you must be willing to find employment with one of our partner facilities. These companies have locations all throughout the valley and are well-regarded as employers:
Intermediate-advanced English Proficiency
To get a role with our employer partners, scholars are expected to have a solid understanding of the English language. This ensures they can communicate well with their patients and co-workers to provide the best care. If you feel that you would like to strengthen your English prior or during your training, feel free to look through these resources and take a self-assessment. A low score does not mean you’ll be rejected, but it does mean we will require ESL courses to strengthen your language skills.
One or more barriers that make it difficult to enter a healthcare career
Proxima is here to help those that experience difficulty entering higher education for reasons such as cost, unfamiliar with options, new to higher education, transportation, language, criminal record, etc.
All information shared with Proxima is kept strictly confidential and is not shared with other companies, government departments, or any individuals outside of Proxima.
